This 2002 Mercedes-Benz SL500 Silver Arrow is a former Certified Pre-Owned example and has spent time in Texas and Florida since new. Finished in Silver Arrow Metallic (777) over a two-tone Black and Silver Nappa Leather (231) interior, power comes from a 5.0-liter M113 V8 paired to a five-speed automatic transmission. Features include xenon headlamps, AMG sport styling, heated seats, automatic climate control, a removable hardtop, an electric-folding soft top, and Silver Arrow-specific trim and leather. Recent service includes a new A/C control unit and relay along with a flush and recharge of the system. This SL500 Silver Arrow currently shows just under 72k miles on the digital odometer and is offered by the selling dealer with manufacturer’s literature, one key, a factory windscreen, original tool roll, Monroney window sticker, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.

Finished in Silver Arrow Metallic (777), the body is reportedly free from any accidents and all paintwork appears to be original. The soft top is trimmed in original Black cloth and presents a clear rear window and no tears or snags in the fabric. The included hardtop is finished in matching Silver Arrow Metallic (777) and has remained with the car since new. Exterior features include xenon headlamps, an AMG body kit including sculpted bumpers, side skirts, and exhaust tips, along with Silver Arrow-specific fender badges. The seller notes one small dent on the right side of the hardtop.

This example retains the original Silver Arrow-specific wheels produced by BBS for the R129 Silver Arrow edition. These 2-piece wheels measure 18×8.5” up front and 18×9.5” in the rear and are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires measuring 245/40 and 275/35 respectively with 2017 and 2018 date codes. Factory Silver Arrow calipers are seen behind each wheel along with drilled rotors.

The cabin is trimmed in two-tone Black and Silver (231) Nappa leather across the seats, door cards, head rests, shift knob, and steering wheel. The original Silver leather trimmed floor mats remain with the car and Birdseye Maple wood adorns the door cards and center console. Additional features include electrically adjustable heated front seats with memory, automatic climate control, an automatic dimming rear view mirror with integrated homelink, and Silver Arrow-exclusive polished aluminum trim.

The Silver Arrow package for this SL500 was offered for an additional $2,500 on top of MSRP and was limited to 1,550 units for the North American market. The Silver Arrow package includes Exclusive “Silver Arrow” Ultra-Metallic paint, specifically designed trim for the Silver Arrow package, Birdseye Maple wood, illuminated Door Sills, Xenon Lights, Heated Seats, a 6-disc changer, exclusive high polish BBS wheels, and polished aluminum exterior and interior features.

The digital odometer shows just under 72k original miles. Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and a digital odometer with trip function. Additional gauges include fuel level, oil pressure, fuel economy, and an analog clock. The gauges are trimmed with chrome rings and feature a Silver Arrow-exclusive polished aluminum surround to match the shifter surround.

The 5.0-liter M113 V8 was rated at 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque when new and is paired to a 722.6 automatic five-speed transmission. Routine maintenance by multiple Mercedes-Benz dealers is documented on the Carfax report. Recent service includes a new A/C control unit and relay along with a flush and recharge of the system.
